Lane and Ramp Closures This Weekend

Daytime work is underway and will continue through 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25; no lane closures are planned.
Nighttime work that will include lane and ramp closures is scheduled from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 26 and Saturday, Feb. 27. The nighttime work involves the demolition of the existing overcrossing – nearby residents may notice loud noises.
Lane and Ramp Closures:
Feb. 26: Lane and ramp closures are anticipated on NB and SB I-5; Two lanes will remain open on NB and SB traffic will narrow down to one lane.
- SB I-5 Lane Closures: 3 right lanes will be closed starting at 56th Undercrossing and end at 25thAve.
- NB I-5 Lane Closures: 2 left lanes will be closed starting at Sutterville Rd. and end at Seamas Ave.
- Ramp Closures: 43rdAve On-ramp to SB I-5 and Seamas Ave. On-ramp to SB I-5 will be closed.
Feb. 27: Lane and ramp closures are anticipated on NB and SB I-5; NB traffic will narrow down to one lane, and SB traffic with have two lanes open.
- NB I-5: 3 right lanes will be closed starting at north of Sutterville Rd. and ending at South of Seamas Ave.
- SB I-5: 2 left lanes will be closed starting at Gloria Drive Overcrossing and end at 25th
- Ramp Closures: Sutterville Rd. On-ramp to NB I-5 will be closed.
Upcoming Construction Planned:
Starting Monday, March 1 to Wednesday, March 3, nighttime lane closures are planned from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Daytime work is planned from 7 a.m. Thursday, March 4 to 4 p.m. Friday, March 5. No lane closures are anticipated.
Visit www.FixSac5.com for details about upcoming construction. Caltrans appreciates your patience as work is underway to Keep Sac Moving. Nearby residents may notice construction noises from cranes, jack hammers, trucks, excavator, loaders, etc. that will be used for demolition work.
Please consider using an alternate route to avoid delays. If you must drive near the work zone, Caltrans encourages motorists to “Be Work Zone Alert” – someone’s loved one is at work. Slow Down and Move Over a lane to keep our highway workers safe as they improve our roadways.
Work is anticipated to occur as scheduled, but subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/or materials, and construction related issues.
